Our Old Soul in a baby suit

Buffy, now 2, is unique, special. She is the farm empath, kind and caring beyond her young age. Whether it is to support a horse in distress (here, encouraging my 31 year old to get up when he struggled to gain his feet), console a crying human, or act as shield for her timid mother, Buffy is a constant source of calm and comfort.

Why is she like this? I hesitate to give myself the credit, though I know her upbringing has been pleasant. She is easy, easier than any other horse I have known.

She is such an old soul, and so young. She inspires us to be better, try harder, appreciate goodness. And to love her as generously as she loves all of us. [Ok, love in a horse.... I anthropomorphize I know, but come see her and judge for yourself!]
